Harvey Bennett

Harvey Bennett is Senior Vice President of Marketing and Membership for Florida TaxWatch, serving taxpayers and the organization's nearly 1,000 statewide members. He joined TaxWatch in 2003 as its Vice President of Communications and Marketing. He oversees all communications for the research institute and its four Centers of Excellence, including member services, external communications, and media relations.

He is also involved in executive management, representing the organization before public and private groups and with Florida TaxWatch members across the state. In his marketing role, Harvey is responsible for membership recruitment and strategic planning to expand the Florida TaxWatch mission as the watchdog of citizens' hard-earned tax dollars.

A television veteran of more 20 years, Harvey's previous experience includes heading the launch of Florida's News Channel, the nation's first 24-hour multi-channel regional television news service in 1998. He held news director positions in Jacksonville and producing and reporting positions at television and radio stations in the Midwest and the East Coast.

He is a graduate of the University of Missouri at Columbia, where he received a Bachelor of Journalism degree. Along with his three sons, he is active in Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts.
