Dave Davis

Dave Davis has 34 years of experience in and around Florida′s state and local governments. Prior to joining Florida TaxWatch, he spent eleven years working in state government. Since joining TaxWatch in 1983, he has conducted research and evaluations of state and local government issues and programs, particularly with regard to productivity and accountability. He has directed and advised the Prudential Financial-Davis Productivity Awards program since 1989. He also currently helps provide institutional memory to Florida TaxWatch.

Dave is a U.S. Army veteran with a Masters Degree in Political Science from Florida Atlantic University. Known for his conservative spending habits, in 1996 Dave was cited by USA Today as one of the nation′s ten most frugal business travelers. After 37 years of marriage and 35 years of jogging, he remains highly committed to both.
